Maize in rows by Dad0.
Original texture by Giant.
Edit texture by Dad0.
Instalation instruction:
I will use the Dry Valley map as an example the map for easier explanation.
1.
Unpack the map in a new file. Open this new file. Open Dry Valley (or any other map of your choice),
then texture, foliage, and then delete the file named: foliage_maize_cut_short_diffuse and foliage_maize_diffuse.dds
2.
Copy the two files that I edit: foliage_maize_cut_short_diffuse.dds and foliage_maize_diffuse.dds ( file that came with the instruction )
in the foliage file of your map (these files replace files that are deleted at the beginning). The road goes Dry Valley / textures / foliage /
3.
Then open map01 i3d file with notepad + + or similar program and search for these two lines:
and look in each line at these four parameters,
- numBlocksPerUnit="0.6"
- width="4"
- height="2.5"
- horizontalPositionVariance="0.5"
Change only the numbers in this:
for (FoliageSubLayer name="maize"...)
- numBlocksPerUnit="1"
- width="3.7"
- height="3.5"
- horizontalPositionVariance="0.005"
and
for (FoliageSubLayer name="maize_cut_short"...)
- numBlocksPerUnit="1"
- width="1.5"
- height="0.7"
- horizontalPositionVariance="0.005"
Warning!
Change only the numbers in these 4 parameters. Do not change anything except the numbers in these four parameters.
For each line you have to change individually, because each line has a different number of these parameters.
Save changes when exiting.
Enjoy.
